Saturday Morning Training Swims (Corsair Bay)

For those swimmers who want to get in some miles in the open water as preparation for either the Surf n Turf series or the Soverign Ocean Swim race, Corsair Bay is the place to be on a Saturday morning. There are usually several groups of varying ability who meet and swim laps around the boats. People usually meet at either 8am or 9am. We will be there most Saturdays at 9am and anyone is welcome to join us for a swim.

Its always a very social training session so don’t be concerned if your not the fastest swimmer, we will stop at regular intervals and wait for for everyone to regroup.

The Canterbury Tri Club also has a group training session at Corsair Bay most Saturday mornings starting at 8am. These are often a more specific training session and idal for anyone building up for a specif race and wants a bit more intensity in their session.
